Chiesa Diruta
Preserving the sensation of ancient space while creating a unique space for today’s culture must be the central intentions. Just like a restorer would fill in missing pieces of a broken vase, we propose a cover filling in the missing building volume thus creating a notion of space it once may have contained. This sets functional conditions for flexible use as well as it acts as a symbol for the revival of the fallen church visible from afar.
